Our Mission
At Kidz Klub Discovery Center, our mission is to create a safe and uplifting space where children can explore who they are, discover their passions, and grow into confident, capable individuals. We believe every child deserves the chance to uncover their unique strengths through hands-on experiences, creative play, and meaningful connections.
Guided by a team rooted in our program and committed to our community, we encourage kids to try new things, build new skills, and develop lasting hobbies—all while feeling seen, supported, and celebrated. Through discovery, growth, and genuine care, we’re helping every child shine in their own way!
The Kidz Klub Discovery Center offers After School Care, Summer Camp and Child Care (when students are not in school).

The Peña family and their dedicated team care for approximately 50 children between the ages of 5 and 12, providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment at the New York State-licensed Kidz Klub Discovery Center.
Founded in June 2018, Kidz Klub was created to offer a variety of programs including after-school care, enrichment clubs, summer camps, and childcare during school breaks. With over 19 years of experience in the field, Albany native David Peña leads the center as Director, bringing a deep passion and long-standing commitment to youth development.
Kidz Klub is a proud family-run operation. The leadership team includes Triticia Peña, Office Manager; Nadaya Peña, Assistant Director; and Cheryl Peña, also serving as Office Manager. Together, they work to ensure every child receives thoughtful, consistent care in a positive and nurturing environment.
The center also employs local high school and college students—many of whom once attended Kidz Klub themselves—creating a full-circle experience that fosters mentorship, growth, and a strong sense of community.
Outside of daily programming, the Kidz Klub team remains active in the Albany community, giving back through partnerships and hosting quarterly events that are free and open to the public, furthering their mission to support families and enrich young lives.
Many local families have built such strong relationships with the Peña’S. Whole families have gone through their programs.
The Pena family and their team take care of children between the ages of 5 and 12 who spend learn and play at the New York state licensed Kidz Klub Discovery Center.
